This past week Haugland Group LLC proudly published an advertorial in Newsday on May 26, 2024, which you can view here: https://lnkd.in/e-Eszn8E. This piece was written to showcase the ongoing progress across Long Island, enhancing our economic, environmental, and energy future. It emphasizes the successful construction and launch of the South Fork Wind project, highlighting its profound impact on communities across Long Island. The successful realization of the South Fork Wind project, along with other vital initiatives across the region, has been made possible through the collective commitment of our local communities, our diligent union workforce, along with vital support from New York State agencies such as NYSERDA and the NY Public Service Commission. Additionally, the forward-thinking leadership from private sector partners like Ørsted and Eversource Energy has been instrumental. The feature in Newsday, complement insights from other articles published by Haugland Group LLC as referenced here: https://lnkd.in/e4kqnUAj and here: https://lnkd.in/ec6rq4Px. They underscore not only the progress on key projects but also the significance of nurturing a critically skilled workforce essential for sustaining this positive momentum. Any discussion of resource development must include renewable energy revenue and carbon sequestration. At present, many utilities literally confiscate valuable renewable attributes (such as carbon offsets and renewable electricity credits) from First Nations with projects on First Nations lands. Time for re-negotiations to commence. Yes it is what we do and have identified as a need. Let’s not limit resource revenue sharing to only the oil & gas sector. #firstnations #resourcerevenues #renewables #ppa #renewableattributes #rec

A big thanks to everybody for showing strong support for clean energy across Australia. We know the majority of Australians support a renewable energy future for our country, and we’ll keep working hard to ensure regional communities are properly informed and engaged at every step. Clean energy is great for jobs, the environment and the economy and can help lower energy bills for all Australians. #cleanenergy #offshorewind https://lnkd.in/ghFuFtDi

The number 1 question I get is What is a Landman? Number 2 is how do I become a Landman? I always direct them to this video, we are very proud of our industry and welcome the chance to highlight our field. Do you know what a Landman is?
On this day in 2022, “The Path of the Landman – Powering the World” debuted at our 68th Annual Meeting. Since then, the 10-minute video and its accompanying shorter versions have served as an important advocacy and recruiting tool for the land profession. In addition to the views that it has amassed online, the video has been seen in person by thousands on high school and college campuses, at mainstay industry events like NAPE and AAPL Energy Institute and at outreach events like school counselor conferences, energy festivals and more! “The Path of the Landman” tells the story of the land professional's journey of converting ideas into energy. Bringing a fresh awareness of the landman's crucial role in the energy industry, it dispels myths and misconceptions while highlighting the importance of the land profession and energy business to our local communities, states, country and world by providing the basic necessities for a modern life. Check out the full video here or watch shorter versions on our YouTube channel. https://bit.ly/4endkcd Special thanks to Chevron, Devon Energy, Chesapeake Energy and HDBC Investments for supporting this great industry tool as a sponsor. #PoweringTheProfession #AmericasLandmen

These complex projects are moments where our customers and our #commercialsolar teams can shine and we are glad that we have the opportunity to help them solve interesting challenges. In the immortal words of George Peppard "I love it when a plan comes together." Cue the A-team soundtrack! #bettersolarstartshere #commercialadvantage #energytransition #electrification UGE UNIRAC
It's finally official: Our 1-megawatt #CommunitySolar project at Foxcroft Academy has reached Commercial Operation, and is now the largest rooftop community solar project operating in Maine! Though we completed construction on the project back in December, a long and snowy winter in Maine prevented us from completing all necessary final testing until now. Learn all about how this project supports the school systems of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine here: https://lnkd.in/e8kaG-Qq

Confessions of an extrovert: This has been a difficult summer for me. Climate anxiety has never felt closer to the surface. My over-active imagination can't seem to shake the opening scenes of "Ministry for the Future", especially as we are seeing heat records shattering left and right. I've found myself on the verge of panic attack a few times during my favorite hot yoga classes. Taking in the hot, thick air, breath feeling labored, and all I can think about are the people who can't escape this feeling for days, weeks on end. The sense of desperation that must create. If that weren't enough, the past four months of building my new business has been psychologically challenging and quite lonely. My dog is a faithful work companion but not much of a collaborator. Some human connection is exactly what I needed, especially with a group of smart, passionate people all working toward creating a better future. As I was driving home last night I felt like I had woken up from a bad dream. The hazy summer dusk was rich and visceral and it was like the whole world was alive. We don't always think about what we need to do to nurture ourselves but it's so important with the work we do. Be kind to yourselves, everyone. #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthmatters #bekindtoyourself #bekindtooneanother #climatecrisis
