🎉 Today, as I celebrate my 29th birthday, I'm taking a moment not just to reflect on the past, but to look forward with a renewed perspective. In the past, birthdays often prompted a review of personal and professional milestones, and more often than not, I found myself dwelling on what I felt were shortcomings rather than achievements. However, this year marks a significant shift in my mindset. I've come to a powerful realization that my current situation, in all its facets, is a direct result of my decisions. This understanding, rather than weighing me down, has empowered me. Whether it's my health, my relationship with family, friends, or God, or my Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) - if something isn't at the level I aspire it to be, it's a reflection of the choices I've made. This epiphany has been both liberating and motivating. Acknowledging our responsibility in shaping our lives and careers isn't about self-blame; it's about recognizing the control we have to make changes for the better. It's a source of energy, an acknowledgment that no matter the complexity of the challenge, there's always a path forward. This realization has brought me a profound sense of satisfaction and optimism. As I step into this new year of life, I'm more committed than ever to making decisions that align with my goals and values. I'm looking forward to the journey ahead, to the lessons I'll learn, and to the milestones I'll achieve. To everyone out there navigating their paths, remember: it's never too late to take stock and steer your life in the direction you wish it to go. Day 1 of 2024 There’s a lot to be thankful for over the last year.  We’ve been fortunate to have made good strides with Vice, fantastic connections with people, and incredible partnerships. There’s a palpable sense of excitement moving into this year. We ended 2023 by wrapping up an engagement with some incredibly unique and unforgettable people at Calix. They allowed us to bring some insights and outside perspectives into their processes. Our hearts go to them over the holidays as they navigate difficult and unexpected challenges. Recently, a consistent theme has shown up.  It has been echoed by people I hold in high regard and by multiple professional circumstances. “Progress over Perfection” So often, people want to deliver a perfect and polished product from the start.  I know I’ve been guilty of it myself.  Whether that's a process, an event, an initiative, content, career moves, personal decisions, or responses, it’s all the same. Action and effort are the catalysts for outcomes. It’s easy to justify inactivity or, worse yet, try to solve for every variable before we even enter “the arena.” So much in life is just showing up and doing the work.  It can be messy, poorly executed, and sometimes downright awful, but those reps lead to refinement, the refinements lead to mastery, and without the stumbles along the way, no progress would be made. There are many ways to say the same thing, “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time, etc., but two resonate with me.  One eloquent, one concise “The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred with dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again; because there is no effort without error and shortcoming” —-Theodore Roosevelt. “Just send it”--- Unknown. Resolutions are a constant evolution and not just a New Year's fad to be forgotten in the upcoming weeks or when it gets inconvenient. With that said, I’d love to hear what “arenas” you plan on stepping into this year or if you have any plans to “Just send it?”

🐲 Year of the Dragon 🐲 I find the festive season busy, and the time between Christmas and New Year a blur of cheese, family memories and sunburn. I am thankful that there is a break between the Calendar Year and the Luna New Year, and I like to use that time as an opportunity to really reflect. Here are the 6 questions I spend sometime reflecting on: 🐉 What am I most proud of from last year? 🐉 What are my top 3 highlights or achievements? 🐉 What did I uncover about myself? 🐉 When I look back, what am I grateful for? 🐉 What is 1 thing I want to leave in the previous year? 🐉 What is 1 thing I am going to take forward with me into the new year? Spending time reflecting on these questions means I look at the previous year holistically and not just in the last few months, but it also means I set myself up for success! The Year of Clarity and Synergy ✨ 🎂As I approach 35 I feel the alignment of vision for this year! ✨I’m very excited about growing, and developing new skills.   More so…. I want to utilize my passions, strengths, and gifts for something greater! 🚵♀️I know that to say that out loud. It can feel like there’s still a distance to travel….. to get that greater! There absolutely is, but there’s also greater in each day that you have! Finding greater takes intentionally detaching from lesser!   Be careful here what you presume lesser is 😬 Allow an example.  Time wasters, Complaining, Stressing Multi-tasking with no real results compensating Competing with others Devaluing your experiences, and not learning from them are just a few Lessers that we may entangle with that may be blocking our view of greater!  Overall synergy and alignment are looking for you to connect with the greater in your day, moment, hour, minute, and seconds. Don’t miss the greater that is waiting in you to be activated by experiences and even to be discovered around you by you! Birthdays have a way of bringing out reflections, lessons, and much to be grateful for ! Let’s Align with Greater!
