Chick-fil-A Corporate Support Center’s Post

“I’m originally from Hickory, North Carolina, and I started working for my local Chick-fil-A when I was 16 and in high school. It was just a part-time job to learn money management and save. Then, when I started community college, I had the opportunity to be mentored and become a junior leader in the restaurant. In my last few years of college, I would come back home and work on holidays, and over the summer I started serving as a grand opening trainer, traveling around the country to help new restaurants get off the ground. The more I experienced Chick-fil-A, the more I realized I would love to make a career at the Corporate Support Center in Atlanta. I was majoring in computer information systems, and the owner-operator at my restaurant started giving me added flexibility to explore other areas of the business. Working with grand openings allowed me to gain a broader understanding of how the company worked.  Eventually, I landed an entry-level data analytics role in the Supply Chain department. Now, just a few years later, the team I sit on is responsible for shaping the data foundation powering Chick-fil-A, Inc.’s supply chain transformation — a key initiative that is essential to the company’s future plans. We’re building a data architecture for internal supply chain data, creating ETL — Extract, Transform, Load — pipelines that are opening all kinds of possibilities for the future.  I've always been incredibly analytical. Even growing up, I was a methodical planner. Whether I was trying to think through scholarships or planning a vacation with friends, I'd make my own spreadsheets for everything. Now, being able to take my restaurant experience and zoom out to the bigger picture of what's happening behind the scenes — and within that being able to utilize data and solve problems — it’s thrilling. The more I connect with former classmates and other peers and hear about their work experiences, the more I realize that Chick-fil-A, Inc. is incredibly special. To be this large a company, and to offer such great support and benefits and a healthy work environment, is rare. And the people I work with are brilliant and they’ve become my friends. I just feel so cared for and so valued.”  — Tori Collie, Lead Data Engineer, Supply Chain #LifeatChickfilAInc #DataAnalytics #SupplyChain

After calling on Chuck-fil-A for many years with Randell, I always came home and told my wife, if I ever switched companies in the channel of the food service industry CFA would be at the top of my wish list. Culture, integrity and a awesome legacy and hearing your story like so many others is such an inspiration to me and I am sure so many young people starting out their career journey. My only regret is I retired and never fulfilled that dream but had a great run being a equipment supplier and partner for CFA, a highlight to my working career.

I am happy for you. I have worked for Chick-fil-A for about 7 years. I am going to say the owner who took over the one I was working at could not get the teenagers to do the work needed to be down so I could stay up front and wait on the quests. Arguements went forward between us. Remolded the store and I went to work for another store but when it was time to go back I was told I had been let go and he was not hiring me back and the other one did not hire me since he did not want any problems with other owners. No job and no money coming in for almost two months. I will not be working for this company again.
