Finding joy, meaning, and purpose in your work is so profound. For many, this alignment is now a requirement. While undoubtedly a tough gig, I'm so thankful to have and hold the spirit of community in and around me. At Hanna, we've been on a journey of resetting and recentering our purpose and identifying values that align with who we are and who we (individually and collectively) want to be, alongside the behaviors that we need to uphold to drive community, innovation and performance. As a brand deeply rooted in purpose and community, one of our values is “warm-hearted.” Giving centered around children's livelihoods has always been a central part of Hanna Andersson ‘s soul. After reviewing many organizations and potential partners in size and scope, this week, we announced our partnership with Foster Love - Together We Rise a nonprofit organization dedicated to championing foster youth. Foster Love - Together We Rise began as a sports camp offering after-school enrichment to foster youth who otherwise could not afford the activity of play. As the charity grew, it began tackling more significant problems, including access to higher education, emergency resources, and more. There are over 430,000 children in foster care and only 214,421 licensed foster parents, which means foster parents and agencies are often left with limited resources, and we’re hopeful that through our partnership, we too can support efforts in bringing wholesome experiences that empower kids to discover, grow and embrace the joys of childhood. This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission and values, and I'm excited about the positive impact we can make together. #purposealigned #championsofchildhood #socialimpact

One thing our organization encourages the importance and show the significance of providing suitcases to foster youth and how organizations like Adoption Finder are actively working to dismantle barriers that hinder the well-being of foster youth. It's the first #MissionMomentMonday of 2024, and it's a good one! One of the primary roles of a CASA is to build a strong one-to-one relationship with their foster youth. While it's never welcome news when a youth re-enters the system, it's clear a CASA successfully fulfilled their role when a previously assigned youth asks to be matched with them again. Returning to foster care wasn't the outcome Daniella hoped for, but reuniting with a familiar face—a consistent adult figure—made the transition just a little easier. As you set your goals for the new year, consider signing up for an upcoming info session to learn how you can make an impact: https://ow.ly/FfRV50Qp0Ye

Did you know? Each year, approximately 20,000 youth are emancipated from foster care without the love, support, and resources provided by a permanent family. Teenagers make up the majority of children waiting for foster homes in most states. Fostering teenagers is a terrific option for those who want to support children as they grow more independent and provide them the chance to be connected to lifelong relationships as they get older. One of the primary things I am grateful for is how my children have changed me. I love this quote in that it is true that adoption has given me the opportunity to give love, mercy, patience, and so much more to my children. There is a great commercial for foster families that uses the phrase “You don’t have to be perfect to be a foster family.” There are so many children in need of a family. During National Adoption Awareness Month be mindful of how you might help one child or a family who would like to adopt but needs some help to do so. #Quote #NationalAdoptionMonth #PhotosStoriesGenerations #Adoption

Please join PCCS and the National Children’s Bureau in celebrating National Adoption Month throughout the month of November. In recent years, the Children’s Bureau has focused its efforts on adoption for teens because we know that teens in foster care wait longer for permanency and are at higher risk of aging out than younger children. Teens need love, support, and a sense of belonging that families can provide. Securing lifelong connections for these teens, both legally and emotionally, is critical to their future achievement, health, and well-being. https://lnkd.in/gprs2ZKC #NationalAdoptionMonth

Did you know that 1 in 17 kids enter foster care? But here's something even more concerning: for Black children, the rate is even higher. It's 1 in 9. And for Native American children, it's 1 in 7. That means a lot more Black and Native American kids end up in foster care compared to other kids. It's important to know these numbers so we can work together to help all children have safe and loving homes. Let's make sure every child gets the support they need!
