Andrew Vogt Premiers "Awakening" at FSC through the lens of photographer Harvey Tillis 7/17/24 - Bassist and composer Andrew Vogt debuted his long awaited full-length album “Awakening,” at the Fulton Street Collective, FSC, in Chicago, in conjunction with his annual celebration of narrowly avoiding Malort poisoning. Chad McCullough’s Firestarter Live Performed at FSC 6/13/24 - Fueled by international collaboration Chad McCullough joined special guest Scott Tinkler along with John Christensen and Jon Deitemyer for a night of virtuosic improvisation, complex rhythmic weavings, and some of the best music happening live that evening. Scenes through the lens of Harvey Tillis: The Zack Markstet performing Oliver Nelson’s "The Blues and the Abstract Truth" performed at Fulton Street Collective in Chicago. "The album is an exploration of the mood and structure of the blues, though only some of the tracks are structured in the conventional 12-bar blues form. The evening's outstanding musicians included Zack Marks drums & cymbals, Constantine Alexander trumpet, Andy Baker trombone, Neil Carson alto, Kevin King tenor, Brad MacDonald piano, and Andrew Vogt bass. TONIGHT!!! Fulton Street Collective and Andrew Meyer Present The Tom Padveen Legacy live at FSC at 8pm The evening will feature live painting from visual artist Ryan Miller...who will be painting a trombone!!!!! Andrew Meyer presents the arrangements of jazz standards and popular songs from the 1940s-1970s by Tom Padveen, a former trombonist with the Harry James Orchestra. Tom Padveen's arrangements are unique due to the instrumentation of five tenor trombones, two bass trombones and rhythm section. This music is currently not available to the public and can only be found in the hands of Padveens surviving friends and people who know them. There are currently no formal recordings of any of the music that will be performed. #thefultonstreetcollective
