CEO + Co-Founder of Modular AI, we're hiring!

It was super fun talking with ThePrimeagen and TJ last week: we relived the social side of launching Swift at Apple, lessons learned building scale projects, what Mojo🔥 is and how (yes) progress is still being made in systems, and more. It was a lot of fun and they kept me on track and the discussion quite accessible. Thanks both! https://lnkd.in/gXymZprb

This is a great listen! I loved the part about the "church of functional programming"... but also the idea that we shouldn't be scared to look at an area that's a collection of old technologies that kind of work together, hypothesize, "couldn't this all be easier and cleaner?", and see if one can build something logically built for the modern use case. Also, if you take the time to truly grasp how a tech package works, down to the way it's compiled to machine code and the way the CPU will execute that, you can create optimizations that others could not.

This interview was awesome, I watched last night. It was highly educational to hear about the social / political side of 'selling' Swift within Apple. It can be a total shock, especially if you are 100% convinced that your idea is awesome, if you can't find much support for it.
