It’s hard to believe 30 years has gone by. July 12, 1994 the Pittsburgh Pirates hosted Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game at Three Rivers Stadium. I was honored to serve as the Volunteer Coordinator where we recruited, trained, scheduled and uniformed over 1,000 Volunteers for All-Star Week. It was one of the busiest years of my life, but also one of the most rewarding. The Volunteers were great Embassadors for the City of Pittsburgh and the Pirates and they knocked it out of the park! The National League won too 8-7 in 10 innings!

30 years goes really fast when we look back. I’m sure that was a great experience and challenge.

I still have an all star dufflebag filled with items from that weekend. So much fun!
