𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀: 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗦𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗔𝗺𝗶𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝘅 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗽𝘀 The recent lackluster performance of high-budget films such as 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' and 'Maidaan' has forced both multiplexes and single-screen theaters to reduce showtimes or temporarily close screens. With large operating costs and dwindling audiences, theaters are taking drastic measures, including lowering ticket prices and offering ad-free showings, to entice viewers back. Despite these efforts, theaters struggle with unsustainable financials in the face of poor film reception and increased competition from streaming services. #finance #news #CinemaCrisis #BoxOffice #FilmIndustry Source:- https://lnkd.in/dA2rc8qD

Has anyone here experienced live theatre via streaming? I'm not talking about Zoom performances, but high-quality streams of live performances on stage in front of a live audience. If you have, did you enjoy it? And if you paid for a ticket, was it worth the price? My main question is: Would you be interested in regularly watching live-streamed theatre, similar to how you watch live-streamed television?

The upcoming release of the blockbuster film Twisters (centred around a social-media celebrity storm-chaser) – a sequel to 1996’s Twister – demonstrates an ongoing public fascination in hazards and, more specifically, footage of extreme weather. The arrival of camera and streaming technologies have made it easier to collect and share such footage in recent years, resulting in often dramatic footage being live-streamed on platforms such as YouTube, TikTok and Discord. Now, a new study conducted at the University has for the first time analysed what might be motivating people to watch these streams – in some instances for up to 12 hours at a time. https://lnkd.in/eqWVZn34

Oscars viewership being up 4% in 2024 is a testament to the power of events. In the age of streaming, many movie releases have felt, well... uneventful! But in 2023, the same-day release of Barbie and Oppenheimer — a moment that became known the world over as ‘Barbenheimer’ — was a huge cultural phenomenon. Events engage audiences like nothing else, and Oscars viewership continuing its upwards trend towards pre-pandemic numbers after years of waning interest show how the return of high-profile releases in cinemas are nurturing a new wave of broader public interest in movies. #EventMarketing #EventTrends #Events #EventProduction #EventProfs
