I’m proud and honored to have participated in Marist’s FIRST-EVER Day of Giving. We had over 2,800 donors donate raising over $500,000 to enhance the red fox education. I had the opportunity to work as a group leader at one of our thank you card tables. My group and I spent hours educating students about how the Marist Fund bolsters our academic, career, and abroad offerings at Marist. Students then got the opportunity to write cards to our donors personally thanking them for their gracious donations. The eagerness of our students to show their appreciation was astounding. This was a great moment for our community, and I cannot thank the Marist staff and the STAT Club board enough for coordinating this event. We truly are a red-fox family, whether your on campus or long graduated. LETS GO RED FOXES ‼️🦊❤️

In a class offered by the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy students gain real-world experience by giving away $10,000 in grant funding. In the hands-on course “Learning by Giving”, students learn and implement the process of making charitable grants and giving wisely, from deciding which community issues to address and writing requests for grant proposals to conducting site visits at nonprofits, evaluating applications, and deciding where to award real money. Crisis, such as the tragic fires in and around Ruidoso, reveal the character of people and businesses. Such as the extreme leadership of MATI’s Godfrey Enjady working tirelessly with friends, such as PVT’s James Meyers, to restore vital communications within and outside of their own service areas. Or the local businesses working together to meet the needs of those impacted. Local businesses matter and will be there when needed. I so appreciate the efforts of PVT’s employees organizing this effort to bring supplies to those in need. Chris & Tabitha Davis , Cassie Florez , Daniel Rodriguez, SHRM-CP and Ross Horner.
PVT would like to thank people in our communities for dropping off donations, and special thanks to Oasis Christian Fellowship in Carlsbad. Last night, PVT employees delivered the first truckload to the Mescalero Community Center. Two more truckloads to follow.

Food insecurity is a tremendous barrier to academic success, not just in K-12 settings. Imagine how difficult it is to concentrate on your college-level assignments when you don't have enough to eat. Yes, scholarships and other forms of cost-reducing support are critical. But don't stop there. Make a gift to support important wrap around services that keep students in school.
One of the things I am proudest of at Saint Paul College is our Campus Food Pantry. Emma Kiley has done an amazing job opening and sustaining it it for our students, faculty, staff, and surrounding community. Since August of this year we have already had over 1500 visits and given out 17,000 pounds of culturally inclusive food. This year Emma has worked with our campus foundation to center our 40 Days of Giving donations for the food pantry. It kicks off today with Giving Tuesday. I encourage you to consider donating to this vital campus resources. For every dollar you donate we can purchase $7 worth of food! Donate here: https://lnkd.in/gmEuqagD

Santo 203 “Secret Snowflakes” Educators, together we can create a world where giving is the norm by providing creative opportunities for students. Our fifth grade students embraced the idea of becoming a “Secret Snowflake” by gifting to community members. One by one the Secret Snowflakes joined to form a blizzard of generosity to our neighbors and local charitable organizations. *Some took time to bake and deliver delicious goodies to neighbors *Others choose to donate to charities online. *Some handpicked gifts destined for the local Children's Hospital. *Others gave to Toys for Tots After the event, a lively discussion took place as students shared their “secret” with classmates. Reflections echoed the research of M. Ames who emphasizes that spending time enriching your community broadens your perceptions of the world. Immersing yourself in a community dedicated to positive change teaches you valuable lessons about how the world works and fosters a unique sense of purpose that often extends to other areas of your life. “The heart of the giver makes the gift dear and precious." - Luther. How do you cultivate a learning environment that not only imparts knowledge but also nurtures compassionate hearts, fostering a generation that understands the true value of giving? #VolunteerImpact #CommunityEngagement #StudentLeadership

By supporting Back 2 School America, you're helping us help them. You and your employer can make a direct impact by sponsoring an upcoming Build-A-Kit, donating, directing, and volunteering. 😍 "Families with children in elementary through high school plan to spend an average of $874.68 on clothing, shoes, school supplies, and electronics. Total back-to-school spending is expected to reach $38.8 billion, also the second-highest figure on record, after last year’s high of $41.5 billion." 😧 https://lnkd.in/dUwga6eD
