Weekend Reflections- The Importance of Recharging. After coming back from an extended Easter break with the family, where we escaped the UK for some much needed sunshine, warmth, and a complete working break, the time off has really reinforced the needs for time away from work and ensuring the work-life balance is kept in check. It was fantastic to spend nearly two full weeks away, recharging and connecting with the family. I don't think there wasn't a moment during the time off that I didn't laugh, smile or feel so relaxed, even "free". It was amazing! It would be great to say I return feeling refreshed and raring to go back to work but that is not the case... and 24 hours of travelling and jet lag don't help! I always return however, challenged with the thoughts of wanting to travel more, and wondering how I can optimise the balance for work, life and family. Given a few days, everything will settle into a normal routine again...except with eyes on the next adventures and remembering to bring more balance to my work-life balance. So, note to myself and a friendly reminder to everyone else, to make sure you take time off, spend time with your family and get your downtime whenever needed. #worklifebalance #holidays #wellbeing #mentalhealth
