Christine.FINAL.07.22.24.WIP Yesterday was my final chemotherapy session for Stage 3.C invasive ductal carcinoma (breast cancer). If turning 40 this year weren't enough to motivate me to take on new goals and challenges the diagnosis certainly pushed me into uncharted territory. I have been thinking of myself as Christine Version 2.0, but then I realized this is absurd. Just like all the ML model versions and spreadsheets that are marked FINAL and then iteratively tweaked we are all WIP (works in progress). I'm working on being the best mom I can I'm working on expressing gratitude and celebrating more I'm working on SQL & Python I'm working on being physically strong I'm working on determining and maintaining boundaries that work for my mental health I'm working on being in the moment and breaking my phone addiction I'm working on key relationships There are key life milestones that are like major software releases and others that feel like dot releases, but there is no "ctrl + z" or "git revert" for time and actions. Today, before we board our flight and move back Minnesota I want to send a huge thank you to Aurora Christensen, Matt & Kathy Peters, Anna Carragee and Eugene Carragee, MD *2, Kathy Ruppel, Mark Wright, Lilliput daycare, Elisabeth Bagley , Dumont Doumbe, Mike Karnis, Rachel Weber, my incredible neighbors in College Terrace and the team at Stanford.

I love your attitude! And absolutely agree with your assessment! As much as the word “final” means nothing in a file name, I am so grateful that we are all indeed WIP throughout our lives — because we all have so much more to learn, offer, share, and be— and that means we are always adapting to the new challenges, changes, and opportunities we face. The grace with which you have emerged from this experience will always remain a gift from the painful parts you had to endure and hopefully will someday forget. Your next chapter is ahead. Keep writing it! ❤️

Sending all my love your way!

Hi Christine, life is a rollercoaster and can be very tough. Nothing you want or can plan for. My wife experienced same challenges 14 years ago, right when we finished building our own house. As you said, there are life milestones. 14 years later all went well, however there is always some uncertainty. I keep my fingers crossed for you! Gain back and Keep your power! I am proud of you. Cheers, Matthias

Didn’t know you had been diagnosed with breast cancer and undergoing chemo. Yikes! You were a strong woman years ago when we worked together and am sure have that same resilience and determination today. Praying for all the best for you and your family and welcome back to MN, it’s the best state, you know. 😉

You are an amazing and strong person Christine Carragee. All the wishes coming your way as you celebrate in life.

Hi Christine. I knew a very early version of you and it was awesome. I bet a new version of Christine is much better, stronger and amazing. I am so sorry to hear you went through this but hope you beat this horrible disease and on a way to a long-long remission. Thank you for sharing it! 💕💕💕

Proud of you. Well done!
