🚚 Join us for another episode of Compliance Clips. In episode 10, John Farquhar, Heather Devine, and I dig deeper into the legal intricacies of the Conrad Refrigerated Trucking Inc. v. Etlas Freight case. 🎙️ In part 1, we discussed how the typical discussions between two parties – the load broker and the carrier - can fall seriously off the rails in the absence of a few critical activities – such as ensuring your Carrier Confirmation sheet is signed and returned. Failing to fully communicate and agree to all the terms of carriage between the two parties can be devastating. 💼 In part 2, Heather Devine explains the legal details of this everyday interaction. Discover how seemingly minor errors on the broker's part led to significant financial burdens, with no legal recourse for recovery. 💰 If you haven't already caught part 1 (episode 9), now's the time! This case study is filled with some eye-opening implications of what can go wrong if you haven't structured your load tendering process properly. Our discussion offers valuable insights for shippers, transportation providers, and logistics professionals alike. 🔄 Tune in to uncover the necessities of broker-carrier relationships and ensure you're equipped to navigate similar challenges in your operations. 🛤️ Don't miss out—watch part 1 and join us for part 2 on Compliance Clips! 📺 #ComplianceClips #trucking #Logistics https://lnkd.in/gBvdynCC

"Tattooed, sideburned, college dropout schmuck" setting out to be the change. Seasoned Software Executive in high-growth PE, Public, Enterprise, B2B, B2C Demand Generation

Also known as "𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴" in therapy or the "𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲" in coaching, changing your perspective to consider a positive position will actually stimulate a positive drive in your motivation, removing subconscious barriers that can make certain actions more difficult, or impossible to accomplish. But, 𝗶𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 you don't want to do. It can be used to simply acknowledge the things you were able to do that bring fulfillment in your life. This week I got to: • Settle back in to my home (briefly) after 3.5 weeks remote with my family focused on ASL Communication Skills and networking in the Deaf Community. • Speak to a number of business owners struggling with prioritizing their marketing and sales efforts without pitching them anything! • Have every meal but 1 with my family. Whether it be positive or a simple 'reframe', what did you "get to" do this week? PS. Thanks Emma for this prompt. I hope it becomes something we can share regularly!
What did you Get To Do this week? Here is my list… With 5 summers left with kids (eeek!) I nailed business and family time this week. And our first shipments of Nearbound by Jared Fuller are on their way to our clients. Love to hear what you Got To Do this week!
