Director, Global Science Initiatives at Alzheimer's Association®

As an advocate for brain health, I’m excited about the emerging evidence of physical activity in possibly reducing the risk of Alzheimer's disease. Engaging in regular exercise is important for heart health and may even reduce risk of dementia, which is why I'm passionate about the Ride to End ALZ. Research shows that aerobic exercise can improve cognitive function and may also be associated with reduced beta-amyloid build up in the brain. (National Library of Medicine, 2023) Ride to End ALZ combines my love of cycling with my passion for researching a cure of Alzheimer's. I'm humbled and honored to connect and ride with those living with Alzheimer's, and the family members and caregivers working tirelessly to support them. Your participation in Ride to End ALZ directly contributes to our mission of leading the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. Our projects, spanning 56 countries and funding over $405 million in groundbreaking Alzheimer's research, explore innovative diagnostic tools and treatments aimed at changing lives. The Alzheimer’s Association FY23 Annual Report showcases significant achievements. These include providing over 6.5 million instances of care and support through various channels and committing a milestone $100 million in annual research spending. By riding with us, you're not just supporting critical research — you're also investing in your own brain health while aiding in care and support for the millions affected by Alzheimer’s. Join us on this meaningful journey. Register for Ride to End ALZ and pedal toward a future without Alzheimer's. https://lnkd.in/g563Jf3b Let’s ride for a cause!

Pacemakers are the secret sauce to slowing down, possibly repairing, and slightly reversing effects of alzheimers, also for reversing osteoporosis. Pacemakers so dramatically improve the quality of the sleep because of the improved circulatory system during sleep is possibly the one thing, outside of stress reduction and support from family members, for battling several forms of Dementia. I witnessed it first hand with my Mother, and also my Father who did not have Dementia but also benefited from a Pacemaker.

We support but without any clear prevention or treatment around the corner based on all the research that’s been done, the hope is all the present boomer generation will have. Carry on for the next generation, who are already in mid life and will be doing the caretaking
