Charlie Stack’s Post

Everyone is talking about AI, but very few organizations are feeling confident about where AI fits into the current structure. This is reflected in the question I get asked most frequently these days: "Who should own AI and where should that person report?" Since every company's starting point, risks and opportunities are different, there isn't one answer to this question, but over the last decade we've learned a lot about how to guide companies towards the right answer for them. If viewed solely through the lens of technology stakeholders, however, it's destined to fail. AI ultimately represents a significant business transformation. The vision and ownership therefore sits with BOD/ExCo leadership, supported by a clear partnership between business and technology, as well as legal, regulatory, information security, risk, etc. I created this chart as a high-level AI readiness maturity model, which you may find of interest... https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7152660715927916545
