Here's Alvaro, our commissioning engineer who's currently in the zone, putting one of our OptVol machines through its paces. This isn't just any test; it's part of the VES rigorous inspection and test procedure. The machine Alvaro is working on tests gas meters down to leak rates of 2.0e-4 mbar.l/s (~atmcc.sec) using 100% helium. That's some serious precision right there! Rotork’s ESD (Emergency Shutdown Battery) technology allows for valve fail-safe operation by providing power during a power outage. For energy storage systems in industry or in the charging infrastructure, connectors must be able to reliably transmit high currents. For charging currents in batteries or supercaps, the connectors must therefore be designed accordingly: on the one hand, they require low contact resistance and, on the other, they must have a high current carrying capacity so that the contacts do not overheat.  The CX 01 30A connector module from ILME 's Mixo modular connectors offers a performance of up to 300A. In order to be able to transfer these high currents in practice, the modules are suitable for connecting conductor cross-sections from 16 to 70 mm² and, in a second version, even from 95 to 120 mm². If space is tight in the rack of the energy storage system, the 90° angled version of the CX 01 30A connector module also offers compact installation using DIN cable lugs.
