So... Wrapping up another #CiscoLive! Cisco (with Chuck Robbins leading the charge) delivered another load of interesting announcements today. Highlights:   -More details on HyperShield, the Splunk integration and observability, including AppDynamics, MSFT Azure, #AI, etc. To me, the most interesting and powerful. Most things will take a bit to be available, but these look like products that solve problems, now and in the near future.   -A good chunk of #Collaboration and #CX announcements. The "Distance Zero" was the most salient concept. Incremental improvements mostly, but you can’t radically change everything all the time.   -AI investment fund: we'll still have to see if such investments prove fruitful, but seems like a good move. And this fund coupled with internal innovation (Outshift by Cisco), seems like the right, combined approach.   What's your perspective? Renata Barros

Since first partnering with the team at Anyscale in 2019, we've had a central belief: the exponential growth of #AI workloads puts intense pressures on compute and memory needs and the only path is to distribute workloads. This in turn requires organizations to build huge, dedicated infrastructure teams that does not scale. When first creating the Ray project at University of California, Berkeley RISELab, the Anyscale team created an elegant abstraction that enables AI developers to focus on business logic and avoid programing lower-level infra. We are firmly in the AI Infrastructure cycle that fuses the devices, networks, and applications (DNA) of the global economy into a new ICT Layer.
