An Angry, Grumpy, Motivated, Canadian Historian Born in the Wrong Era 🇨🇦 For introductions, please address me by my pronouns! Did I hurt your feelings with my use of Free Speech? My inherent rights trump your tears!
Good morning to everyone in MY City of Calgary! (Love y’all, even those that hate my means. I do what I do for all of y’all!). Important Reminder: take your weekly allotted three minute shower, don’t flush that morning bathroom break (literally let the 💩pile up as our bureaucrats do so well), and eat your coffee grounds raw with a dirty cup and spoon, all to save some agua, all - of course - at the diktat of the drably-drawn NPC that is un🆒🐣Jyoti. They’ve fixed the main break but created five other minor disasters in the process. Those pipes that “were inspected” have been “reinspected” only to find five more problems for you to live with - your tax dollars hard at work! Cannot wait to see the dog and pony show that is rolled out about “how things were missed!” Back to the Gander that is Gondek: she’s like one of those NPC characters from a Western RPG (☎️“Hey gramps. Ya. that means a game. On my console. Yup. It stands for “role playing game”. Love ya. Bye!”) that only says the same three things: 1) [This issue] is not my fault! [blame others]+[demand help from you]+[task required for next quest]! 2) I need your help [while providing reason for not doing anything to improve the situation herself]+[wailing and crying sounds]! 3) I need some of your money [for invented reason]+[demand payment or you cannot move onto your next quest]! Anyhow. Hope you chuckled about that. In other news - I’ve reposted this comment I made last night as I just wanted more of y’all to see it. Be safe out there! Hey BS COC peeps - rick bell states you’re shooting for July 1 for completion and you also clarified that you have indeed engaged private businesses - the majority of which do not have union staff. Impressive and I will tip my hat where it is due. Keep going. Do better. Earn your pay. #yahoo #yippekayay —— Interested in a chat? So. My beloved City of Calgary is without proper water services for 5 weeks while The Calgary Stampede has already solved their water problem weeks ahead of the main event by utilizing private services and an intelligent, responsive solution. Interesting. The Stampede didn’t even have to threaten/intimidate anyone to achieve their goal! Maybe something to learn there. Anyhow. In a completely unrelated matter - here is a fantastic movie clip from V for Vendetta: https://lnkd.in/gKFhvKXw In this clip are several interesting things to enjoy: • This fantastic and entertaining dystopian movie is set in the “future” where the government used a lab created virus to instill fear in, and seize control of, the population following which they introduced totalitarian control over everything and demanded complete subservience of the people by abusing said power • My favourite classical piece, The 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky is utilized! I first heard this piece when my band teacher played it for us in Grade 7. He related the story it tells in a memorable way. Give it a listen sometime. • Interesting side note related to this musical piece: Napoleon would have won Waterloo had he not had stomach problems that made him bed ridden the morning of the battle, and - more importantly - had he been able to reconnect with his primary logistician from his earlier campaigns and period of rule (tough to do when the guy had been murdered)… • A mention of Edmond Dantes: anyone know who this is? I’ll Hope and Wait for an answer. (That’s a hint…) • The power of a united people standing in unison against tyranny can be observed • Math: population>military or ~1,300,000 > ~62,000 or A whole ton of pickup trucks > 82 tanks • On another military note, for my team in the Canadian Armed Forces | Forces armées canadiennes (et al): see how quickly the troops stand down and refuse to fire on their citizenry when they are aware the situation is morally wrong. Impressive, really. • Fireworks! The Stampede uses fireworks every night of the event to the enjoyment of many young and old, but unfortunately not to my (and many other’s) dog(s) • The power of commitment to an intelligent and strategic plan to achieve true freedom Have a great night, y’all! Reminder. These two topics (The BS COC matters and the video clip) are completely unrelated and, as always, my posts are an exaggerated, farcical, and satirical, commentary on our state of Canadian (and civic) affairs that are currently underway. I pen for entertainment purposes only, of course. Any congruences are purely coincidental. 😘 —— Interested in a chat?
