Figuring, as w/ dogs, 1 year equals 7, you've hit a biblical 3 score and 10 - a good moment to count the projects, units, and invested dollars, and to reflect on how profoundly you've touched the lives of many of the most vulnerable. For a Maryland example, when HABC & the mission-aligned developers w/ whom it worked to turn its mixed pop inventory from virtually uninhabitable though occupied to communities in which its aged and vulnerable residents could live in dignity and in fact thrive. You also furnished superb example how thoughtful private-public-community partnerships could meet challenges lots of people, reasonably, thought were beyond all hope or at least impossible to tackle w/out imposing insupportable burdens on residents and communities. What's even more impressive is that 26% of respondents confirm their communities perform updates every single year. The DC Office of Planning is undertaking a public life study in Columbia Heights and Mount Pleasant thanks to an allocation from DC Council. This study is a comprehensive effort to improve the quality and use of public spaces in Columbia Heights and Mount Pleasant through data-driven analysis, guideline development, and inclusive community engagement.
