Six months ago, I made a significant career switch - from Accounts Assistant to Payroll Personnel in the automotive industry. I'm thrilled to share that it's been an incredible journey so far! I've learned that payroll is not just about numbers, but about people's livelihoods. It's a huge responsibility, and I'm grateful for the trust placed in me. The automotive industry has been a fascinating learning curve, with its unique challenges and regulations. I'm excited to be working with cutting-edge payroll software and technology, streamlining processes and improving efficiency. Plus, I get to collaborate with an amazing team, work on complex problem-solving, and stay up-to-date with ever-changing regulations and laws. It's a challenging role, but also incredibly rewarding. I'm loving the new challenges and opportunities that come with each day! Here's to many more months of growth, learning, and success in this new chapter! #payrollpersonnel #automotiveindustry #newrole #newindustry #teamwork #learningandgrowth

AP Clerk at Tribe Management; Payroll Compliance Professional certification candidate. Neurodivergent. Dedicated, fierce, tenacious, detail-oriented. Extremely nerdy and proud of it.
All I've wanted is just a basic, actually entry-level payroll clerk type position. That's all. Just a starting job to get the basic experience and prove my value as a Payroll professional. It's what my diploma was for, it's what I'm good at. Sure, I'm *able* to do AP/AR or basic bookkeeping, but the truth is that to my Neurodivergent brain, those *aren't* the same thing as Payroll at all. Payroll is Payroll; that's what I studied for, that's what I'm good at, and that's what I want to do for my career. The truth is, I don't *just* want my PCP certification; that's just where I want to start. I want to go all the way to PLP (formerly CPM) designation and even become a specialist in international Payroll, with my end-goal being to someday teach Canadian Payroll compliance at the college/university level. Why are there no truly entry level Payroll positions anywhere in my area anymore? Why have there been absolutely none in the 2.5 years since I graduated? Is there just no room for new blood in the Payroll field? And why are there so many leadership positions in Payroll being advertised as vacant, and why do I see them posted over and over? Is it really that difficult to find people already experienced in management or leadership roles in Payroll? Is it really better and more cost effective to leave the roll vacant for months and months at a time instead of finding someone with the desire and the passion then moulding them into that leadership position? Here's an idea for employers who might read this - Hire me and train me specifically into one of those leadership roles! If it's really so hard and taking so long to find someone who's got the experience, then why not train *me* into the job? Training me would very likely take less time than the length of time I've seen a lot of these positions being open for, I wouldn't have any habits or baggage from previous roles that could get in the way, and I am absolutely worth the investment.

Visionary Entrepreneur | Transforming Payroll, Business & Digital Marketing Solutions | Driving Innovation & Growth | "Once you become fearless, life becomes limitless"
Hello everyone! Hope you have a great week ahead! Setting up a successful payroll team is essential for ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processing. Here are the 5 key steps to get you started: Define Roles and Responsibilities: Clearly outline the roles and responsibilities of each team member. This includes Payroll Managers, Payroll Specialists, and Compliance Officers to ensure all aspects of payroll are covered. Recruit Qualified Professionals: Hire individuals with the right skills and experience. Look for candidates with a background in payroll processing, knowledge of relevant software, and an understanding of payroll laws and regulations. Implement Reliable Payroll Software: Choose a payroll software that automates calculations, tax filings, and record-keeping. Ensure it integrates well with other HR and accounting systems. Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop detailed SOPs for payroll processing, including timelines, data entry, and verification processes. Ensure all team members are trained on these procedures. Provide Continuous Training: Invest in ongoing training and development for your payroll team. Keep them updated on new regulations, software updates, and best practices to maintain a high level of efficiency and compliance. By following these steps, you can build a strong payroll team that ensures accuracy and compliance. #PayrollTeam #HRManagement #BusinessEfficiency #PayrollProcessing #Leadership #Payroll #Recruitment

What do you do? Oh, I'm a administrator/assistant/payroll officer/recurrent consultant/manager...... Those have been some of my responses throughout the years. I identified as my job. Not only that, I also outside of work, use to talk about work, think about work stuff, and use to associate things in my personal life with work. 'I am' is such a powerful statement. So, consider this: Who would you be if you weren't in the job you are in right now? What would you do if you weren't doing what you do now? Who are you outside and separate from work? If you are finding it hard to find out, now is the time to take action and change that.
