Last week, city and project leaders celebrated the groundbreaking on another 100% affordable housing project in Oceanside. South River Village will be a 43-unit 100% affordable housing apartment complex for very-low and low-income households, located at 4933 N. River Road. A number of the units will also be reserved for people with developmental disabilities. Social services for developmentally disabled tenants will be provided by the San Diego Regional Center. South River Village is fulfilling Oceanside’s inclusionary housing requirements for the nearby North River Farms development. Mirka Investments, in partnership with Hunt Capital Partners, is financing the construction. Designed in Spanish Mission style, the four-story South River Village will have 20 one-bedrooms, 12 two-bedrooms, and 11 three-bedroom apartments. The homes South River Village will have balconies with shared amenities that include a tot lot, a community room, and laundry room. Construction is anticipated to be completed by early Summer 2025. Many safe, attractive, affordable communities have been constructed in Oceanside. La Mision Village, Mission Cove, and Old Grove Apartments were opened in recent years.  Greenbrier Village, an integrated affordable housing project that will bring 59 units of permanent housing with supportive onsite services to homeless or at-risk of being homeless individuals and families plans to open in August 2024. #Oceanside #affordablehousingprojects

When will the city invest in cleaning up Oceanside Blvd? Tired of driving home and seeing all the trash left over by the homless, potholes, and people sleeping on our sidewalks.
