City of Douglasville Management Development Program employees completed their community service project! They built a greenhouse for the kids at the Boys & Girls Club of Douglas County. Despite facing challenges, the Sow and Grow team demonstrated incredible resilience and dedication to see their project through. This highly interactive program, facilitated by Carl Vinson Institute of Government, focuses on developing personal and group leadership skills and knowledge relevant to successful local government operations. #GrowthHappensHere

Another Georgia Municipal Association Conference in the books. Our Elected Officials and staff members never miss a chance to learn, lead, and grow. Meet Gimmel Juggins, Human Resources Manager. Gimmel was hired as a Senior Human Resources Generalist with the City of Douglasville in 2022 and was promoted in January 2024 to her current role. Prior to joining the City of Douglasville, she served in various Human Resources roles since 2004 in the non-profit sector. Gimmel and her family are avid tailgaters, and you can find them cheering on their favorite teams at NFL, SEC championships, and HBCU football games. #LifeHappensHere
