I haven't posted a video in over a month! But I'm back with another video essay, this time about the Evansville #Indiana West Wastewater Treatment Plant, which has used #data combined with capital expenditures to optimize and improve processes. Watch the video to learn about the staff's attention to detail and read the article for even more information that didn't make the video cut! April was one of the busiest months in my #water career, so #video took a back seat. I am hopeful I can get back to more regular uploads, although I think the frequency will be reduced to every other week as my priorities evolve. The below is a list of ALL THE THINGS I did in April, some of which still have not come to fruition! 🔬 #PFAS MCL 📜 #PFOA and #PFOS listed in #CERCLA aka #Superfund 👨🏫 Hiring and training a new editor 🛫 Attending #TexasWater2024 🏨 Hosting The Wastewater Summit with our incredible events team 📘 Curating an eHandbook on Wastewater Treatment for 2024 🇺🇸 Developing and writing for our upcoming eHandbook on Build America Buy America (#BABA) 🖨 Completing production on the print issues for WaterWorld Magazine, Wastewater Digest and Stormwater Solutions Magazine #wastewater #cleanwater #stormwater #dataanalysis #sampling #analysing #wastewaterdigest #sentry #veolia #baf

Total PFAS contamination in fresh surface water is a concern everywhere not just Homestead Fl., I use this specific location because it is a well known and continuously tested contaminated water source, this saves me money on testing raw samples while developing systems. I am not picking on Homestead for any reason. I also use this source as a example of knowing your testing standards to know if your getting accurate information. Example: The testing standard can hide the truth 7979 At 10 ppt - will only show PFOS at 26.14 ppt 537Mod and or 1633 the new EPA standard at 4 ppt will show 52.79 ppt To include PFOS, PFOA, and PFBS Move to a research standard at 0.04 ppt / 40 parts per quadrillion and you will get 81.18 ppt total PFAS including a total of 15 analytes / chemical types. Know the TRUTH about your water, know what the testing standards really mean, its not necessarily "clean", they may purposefully test to a standard that wont show how dirty it is. I know operations that do this to hide it as under the current "recommendation" as long as they are under 70 ppt, they can claim clean. Even at the new required 4ppt when it begins is still hiding a lot, at 4 ppt this location on a weak reading day at 81.18 ppt (I say this as some times its as high as 243 ppt) is still hiding 28.39 ppt total PFAS, think about that, its not clean, they just turn off the lights so you cant tell. Sign up for our free Global Live Webinar: Hach's response to wastewater challenges Part VII: Monitoring the Collection System. During this one-hour webinar, we will cover two main topics: 1. monitoring pollution in sewerage systems, ensuring monitoring is as close as possible to pollution sources, diagnosing hazardous or unexpected discharges, and quantifying the pollution risk of direct discharges to the environment in case of sewer overflows. 2. The monitoring of H2S in the liquid or gas phase to better assess corrosion risks, protect assets, prevent odor complaints and optimize chemical dosing when mitigation strategies are in place. 5 October 2023 - 10:00 am CEST (7:00 pm Mel/Syd time) Presenters: Xiaoting He - Global Product Manager Marie Inizan - Application Development manager Not able to join?
