  🧐 Leadership Coaches – what will you do when the CEO you’re coaching says they’re under pressure to accelerate Net Zero and feels out of their depth? 🚀 The corporate landscape is changing FAST when it comes to setting Net Zero targets.   According to Net Zero Tracker’s latest report on the entities they track, the percentage of the publicly-listed companies with Net Zero targets has more than doubled over the past 2 years (417 to 929).   AND YET…. There’s a huge problem with implementation. They report almost no improvement in meeting the criteria which would make those targets meaningful – such as setting specific net zero pledges, publishing plans on how to achieve these targets, and implementing immediate action to proceed on their commitments. April 12-14, I had the opportunity to participate in the Climate Reality Leadership training led by Al Gore. (https://lnkd.in/g4s2m2qU) If you’re interested in taking action on any level toward mitigating climate change, I highly recommend this program. It’s concise, well-run, inspiring yet pragmatic, hopeful and action-oriented. Every session I attended addressed the questions, “But, what can I do?” and “Will what I do matter?” One of the most powerful lessons I learned was that the biggest obstacle to effective change isn't a lack of solutions or resources - it's political will. Al Gore reminded us that political will is a renewable resource and that we can take the most significant first step as US citizens by electing the right officials and advocating for swift, climate-focused policy change. This is a great course that’s helps frame steps organsiations can take to create value and opportunities in the transition to net zero.
