Another step to advance our #renewable energy sourcing for the Secunda site in South Africa,  one of the largest oxygen sites in the world.  Air Liquide and Sasol have signed new Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) for an additional 100 MW of renewable electricity with Mainstream Renewable Power. This is the third set of PPAs signed by Air Liquide and Sasol, following  the ones announced this year with Enel Green Power and TotalEnergies with its partner Mulilo. Together, these PPAs represent a total renewable power capacity of around 580 MW. For Air Liquide, these contracts will contribute to the targeted reduction by 30% to 40% of the CO2 emissions associated with oxygen production in Secunda by 2031. This investment is another step by Air Liquide to reach its sustainable journey to its customers today and meet additional market demand tomorrow in Africa. #BreakingNews: Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) announced that it has reached a definitive agreement with GEK TERNA Group of Companies and other shareholders of TERNA ENERGY, with the intention to acquire initially 67% of the company’s outstanding shares at completion of the transaction. “Today marks a major milestone in Masdar's strategy to expand its portfolio to 100GW of clean energy by 2030 and it will make a substantial contribution to the renewable energy capacity of Greece,” said H.E. Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Chairman of Masdar and COP28 UAE President.
