Expedition and exploration are the fastest-growing cruise itineraries being sailed, increasing by 70% from 2019 to 2023. This is very promising for the ASEAN region: 17000 islands in Indonesia, 7000 islands in the Philippines as well as biodiversity hotspots in the Heart of Borneo and the Coral Triangle. However ASEAN Member States must establish robust regulations and protocols immediately to ensure sustainable balance between economic development and ecological balance in the region.

I'm very excited to see more and more ships using shore power, and reducing emissions that can directly affect our beautiful port communities.
