Relying solely on vertical #CareerDevelopment was tantamount to sky diving without a backup parachute even before the world changed with Covid. A holistic approach with lateral career growth by building skillsets and taking on challenges outside of the immediate role not only secures careers, but also provide opportunities for cross industrial career pathways. We were thrilled to see our first batch of #IntegratedFacilityManagement Captains receive their crest and certificates awarded by the Senior Minister of State for Defence and #Manpower Mr Zaqy Mohamad, as well as Mr Shamsul Kamar. Their hard work and perseverance paid off and we are deeply inspired to continuously expand and improve the IFM Captain #OJT program. The Kaki Bukit #JobCarnival was a resounding success, and we are honored to be part of it. The #PWM (progressive wage model) has affected the #FacilityManagement industry, not just for service providers, but building and estate owners alike. Contract costs are expected to increase exponentially alongside the adjustments of wages. The best way to work with the growing costs is to create both greater customer value propositions, as well as employee value propositions to ensure we deliver. We designed the #IFMCaptain program as part of a two-pronged solution to address the growing performance needs of outcome-based contracts and higher labour costs. The training program provides structured on-the-job training based on the 70-20-10 learning model that reduces work disruption to minimal.
