✈ The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has taken action against a Virgin Atlantic radio advertisement from November, which promoted the airline’s Flight 100 from London Heathrow to JFK. The ad claimed it would be "the world’s first commercial airline to fly transatlantic on 100% sustainable aviation fuel" 🚨 The ASA found that the environmental benefits of SAF were overstated and the claims were not sufficiently substantiated, leading to the ad being banned. 🧠 As we push for more sustainable solutions, it’s essential that our claims are backed by solid evidence. Effective climate action requires not just innovation, but also honesty and accountability. 🌍 With the increasing importance of sustainable practices, travel policies are key to reducing an organisation's carbon footprint, especially in industries heavily reliant on air travel. Climate Action for Associations offers members a low carbon travel policy template aimed at helping organisations lower their environmental impact.
