#GitHub and #JFrog Unite: Revolutionizing Source Code and #Binary Management #GitHub and #JFrog have announced a partnership to integrate their platforms more deeply, aiming to streamline the management of source code and binaries for developers and support teams. This collaboration will enable tracing code from source to binary packages across both platforms, provide single sign-on support, and create unified project structures with role mapping. Additionally, a unified dashboard is planned to offer a single view for source- and binary-focused security scans from both #GitHub’s and #JFrog’s security tools. Despite both companies operating in the #DevOps space, their focus areas—GitHub on source code and JFrog on binaries—have minimal overlap, making this partnership highly complementary. The integration aims to simplify the workflow for the many shared customers between the two platforms. It allows you to manage environment-specific settings without altering your application. 1. ENV: Load all key-value pairs from a ConfigMap as environment variables. 2. SINGLE ENV: Load a specific key from a ConfigMap as an environment variable. 3. VOLUME: Mount the ConfigMap as a volume to access its data as files. Why is this important in real life? 1. Flexibility: Easily change your app’s configuration without rebuilding your images. 2. Scalability: Apply the same configuration across multiple environments. 3. Security: Keep sensitive data separate from code, improving security practices.
