I’m so excited and privileged to be speaking at IAA’s 45th World Congress - especially because it will be held in #Penang, where my father grew up and went to school! As some of you may know, my father Peter Yap was an AdMan/MadMan for most of his life at McCann Worldgroup and Momentum Worldwide. Which meant I started young as a tape runner for him from one studio to the next to play different ads during their segments and helped at many activations especially the ones for Salem Cool Planet. My mother was in outdoor advertising with Utusan Pearl & Dean, and my aunt was Media Buyer at Mindshare before becoming Group Media Buyer at GroupM until her retirement.
