Dear Connections, We are looking for 1 no. of resources for our US support. Please find JD and other details for your ref.     Working hours will be 06.30 PM/07.30 PM to 0330 AM/04.30 AM Candidate should be technically strong, Good in Communication, Responsible   Sl.No. Task Scope 1 ID reconciliation Verify ID’s that are disabled and created in US Domains. Ensure all parameters are fulfilled (checklist will be provided). 2 Reporting needs Use monitoring tools to pull out reports. 3 End point and Server patching using WSUS Obtain approved patches from India team and approve those patches in WSUS for end points (460). Work with US Server Admin to deploy patches on servers.(40 servers approx.) Report weekly progress and rectify any issues observed. 4 Asset Management and reconciliation in LANSweeper Pull out inactive assets from LANSweeper and work with local SPOCs to verify. Delete from LANSweeper post verification. 5 Creating and pushing ad-hoc deployment packages using GP/LANSweeper Create packages in LANSweeper/GP for such needs. Push to 460 odd end points, report progress, rectify issues, work with US team to cover workstations that are left out. 6 Server backup reconciliation Review backup health on the tool console for 35 odd servers. Rectify any issue observed. Report out daily on the health. 7 Monitoring of Server and Network by respective Teams Look for critical alerts in LANSweeper, AuditPlus, Solarwinds, create tickets and resolve. Network tickets to be allocated to onsite US Network Admin, monitor progress, review on weekly basis in our weekly team call. 8 Documenting SOPs We have a need to document some SOPs that define our support workflows, etc. Once its done, we will not need it regularly. Working on Troubleshooting, Enhancements, Handling Bridge calls for outages with different stake holders and Participation in analysis of incoming cases/tickets, resolving production issues and improve application performance. Perform health and performance monitoring of Application servers. Debug and update shell scripts used for various automation work. Working on AWS services (S3,EC2, Auto scaling.) Incident/Problem/Change management Tracking tickets through Service Now. Perform health checks on servers by monitoring performance related components such a Memory, CPU, network and disk activities and analyzing these reports and finding any issues that Occur. Scheduling the jobs in crontab, at now, control-M and tidal for day to day actives to minimize the work Responsible for providing support during maintenance, implementation or up gradation. Create and follow up on trouble tickets with respective teams and Escalate to the respective teams if the trouble tickets are not resolved Upgrading and deploying software’s incase of any enhancement or core releases. Provided infrastructure/Application test support to UAT. Practiced following the run book to resolve the Incidents and create and update the run book. Participated in management activities like generating weekly and daily report for internal and external business review. Participation in the ticket review and ensure the appropriate solution is provided and meet the SLA guidelines. Coordinating with L3 teams and other Stakeholders for issue resolutions and engaging in root cause analysis to strengthen the support/Application against critical failures.

Iam looking new things

Once upon a time, I was working as a SysAdmin and badly screwed up. I mullered a database. Unfortunately, I didn't actually know I'd done it. It was a pure mistake, one of those where I was logged into several servers at the same time. I got a phone call the next day (a Saturday), asking if it was me that had been working on these servers and explained what had gone wrong. I owned this issue, and headed into the office to work on fixing it. When the issue had been resolved, I spoke with my boss. The way I responded by not shirking responsibility had saved my job. We all make mistakes, don't pretend otherwise. Accept it with humility and grace. People will relate to you much more warmly.
