Public administration & public policy programs have serious catching up to do with employers relations and helping positions their students and alums for jobs. I am a MPP grad and want to support my discipline, but what they have as job infrastructure appears to still be lacking compared to business programs (not so different from when I was seriously recruiting in this space 10 years ago). My MPP alma mater is an exception, and I don’t want to suggest this is the case across the board. However… a limited review of career and employer relations sites for MPA/MPP programs at large publics suggests this may be the case.
