During the past year, Mack Trucks and Volvo Construction Equipment have introduced on-highway electric trucks and electric processing equipment to public and private #waste and #recycling companies across North America. While the volumes are still small, they mark the start of a monumental shift in the industry—one that has been achieved through close collaboration among original equipment manufacturers, battery makers, charging partners and end customers to determine the best paths forward. Feedback from these collaborations is distilled into four key factors that waste and recycling customers should consider when deciding whether to electrify their #fleets.
