Loved my 4 years there while going to CSU. Great city.

I moved here in 1980 when there were 65,000 people. However, over time we have grown to almost 200,000 all because we've been number one on all sorts of lists.

We moved to Ft. Collins 3 yrs ago and hope to spend the remainder of our days here as they have everything we love to do! Taste of Ft. Collins music festival over the weekend, paddle boarding on Horsetooth Reservoir on weeknights, weekly track group had 70 people show up (!!), Lagoon Concerts for community through the summer. And of course there's Old Town - ahhhh. Just walking through Old Town tilts the happiness scale in a positive direction. I'd obviously move Ft. Collins up about 38 spots on this list!!

I have been lucky enough to live in Fort Collins for my whole life! It is a wonderful place to live, but quit advertising it so we can enjoy it! 😅

Absolutely loved Fort Collins. I was born there, spent about half my 37 years there and the other half moving around the U.S., and graduated from CSU. Even worked for the city Natural Areas department for about five years. While growth is inevitable, especially when you make all these top place lists, it saddens me that it has become very crowded and because of its popularity, there is really no way we can afford to buy a house there working in my current profession without significant promotion, change in organization, or complete change in profession. At this moment in time it’ll only be a place I can go to visit.

I moved to Ft Collins in the Summer of 1976, what a beautiful place. I got an MA from CSU. I moved to Denver in 1981 but have the best memories while I was there.

I remember Fort Collins, CO as a sleepy College town when I attended CSU in the mid 60's. It was certainly grown up in the last 5 decades!!!!

I lived Fortcollins from 1989 to 1991 with my family while I was making my Master degree in CSU. I enjoyed my life there. It is an excellent city with nice people. I hope I can visit it again in any time.
