The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regularly issues warnings to employers in the pyrotechnics and fireworks industries to ensure the safety of workers. This is crucial as these workers face heightened risks, including severe injuries from explosions and handling of hazardous materials【8†source】. Additionally, the Fourth of July has been a day of celebration involving various workplace customs. For example, barbecues and fireworks displays, both deeply ingrained in American culture, often involve meticulous planning and execution by workers in various sectors, from food service to event management【7†source】【8†source】. April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month, reminding us of the importance of road safety and responsible driving. In 2021 (most recent data) there were 3,522 people killed and an estimated additional 362,415 people injured in motor vehicle traffic crashes involving distracted drivers. As leaders, we prioritize the well-being of our staff and their families. Road safety plays a vital role in protecting our staff and our communities. Distracted driving, including texting, calling, or eating while driving, significantly increases the risk of accidents and injuries. Let’s all commit to maintaining focus on the road, not just for our safety but for the safety of everyone around us. Together, we can make a difference and contribute to reducing the hazards associated with distracted driving. Let's lead by example, promoting a culture of safety and responsibility both within and beyond our organizations!

Overall, I think this is a great step forward. It is a much needed step to start healing. The process will take a long while, and actions will need to continue to be taken. Otherwise, the apology would mean nothing. However, why is this an unlisted link? The fact that it is unlisted means that people who are not aware of this apology would only find it if they know people who have the link with the apology. If it is viewed as a major apology, then it should be easily accessible to non-members. While this might not move the needle much, but a public link would be great in showcasing transparency of this apology. With all that said, I would view this apology with optimism even though it might not be perfect.
