Hi everyone, The CHUM CPI report showed the average consumer's cost of living was a little cheaper than in May, mostly due to lower prices of gasoline as well as cheaper new and used cars. Travel got a little cheaper in June as well, with lower prices of hotel rooms and of airfares in year over year term. CPI slowed in June Tatai for the lowest since the first half of 2021. And core inflation, which strips out the effects of energy prices and of food prices to track the underlying trend, was outright the slowest since the first half of 2021. This is another sign that the US economy is cooling. Off the feds going to welcome this as another reason that interest rate cuts are likely to be appropriate soon. Comerica forecast for the Fed to make their first rate cut of this cycle in September. Next week, we'll have data on industrial production, retail sales, housing starts and building permits. And we expect them to show that the economy continued to operate in low gear end June, which slightly capped off another quarter of real GDP growth under 2%. We'll get that first estimate of second quarter real GDP later in the month. We have more details in our weekly report. Thanks for watching.
