You will forge close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, steering a division committed to offering best-in-class service to those under its purview. Your mandate will encompass critical realms such as optimising resource utilisation, spearheading HR transformation agendas, succession planning and learning and growth. Together with your peer counterpart, you will have a shared portfolio that will encompass the areas of business partnership, engagement and talent acquisition, workforce services, systems and analytics, safety and wellbeing, and integrity and employee relations. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 These roles will suit highly experienced HR leaders excited by the opportunity to lead in an environment where their work makes a difference. You will be comfortable in a large-scale, complex and ambiguous environment where you can utilise your service delivery background to ensure that HR services are delivered in a contemporary and effective manner. You should be a confident communicator who leads by example and is willing to engage with large, complex stakeholder groups. As these are newly created positions, there is some flexibility around full-time/part-time arrangements. The roles will require some intrastate travel as the Department seeks to engage closely with the community that it serves. As a Strategic Human Resource Business Partner, I have the privilege of interacting with diverse industries and professionals across various job families every week. This week, I had a stimulating discussion with a renowned high-brand company in Mauritius, focusing on their Recruitment Strategy for 2024. Beyond the initial scope of recruitment, we delved deeper into understanding their long-term plan, which encompasses: - **Learning and Development:** Investing in continuous growth and skill enhancement for employees. - **Employee Compensation and Rewards:** Ensuring competitive and rewarding packages to attract and retain top talent. - **Dedicated One-to-One Platform:** Creating personalized platforms for transparent and effective communication between employees and management. What started as a planned 30-minute discussion extended to over an hour, reflecting the passion and commitment from both sides.
