Bag for life Tis the season for mulled wine, frosty windows, and more importantly holiday adverts… And with that comes the time for all of us watchers by to creatively critic said ads like our last roastie depends on it :-) Jokes aside, JD Sports Fashion have smashed it this year… Focusing on the humble JD drawstring bag (you know the one), the campaign’s ad celebrates the bag’s relevance in British youth culture, coined as the ‘bag for life’ for those who have come of age in the last 25 years. Spanning generations, the advert sees a collection of stars as well as ordinary people use the bag, from taking home their latest JD purchase to becoming a trusty school sports bag, rain cover, dinner time leftover’s transporter… you name it the JD bag’s done it. Narrowing the bridge between brand and audience, simple but ridiculously relatable. Doing what all brands should do not only this time of year, but all year round: champion the people that continue to authentically and relentlessly tell their stories for them.
