A realisation that we’ve had, as a startup, is that it’s extremely hard to come up with long term 3-5 year plans. Our focus was more on surviving the next 6-12 months. I mean, when we first started out in 2019, the technology was just there, but the right target industry and the right geography for us was uncertain. Although we now focus on an AI system for automated road condition assessments within reactive/planned road maintenance teams… the journey to get to this product-market placement took us years. As a startup, the two biggest factors that matter are (1) ensuring cashflow to survive and (2) getting closer to product-market fit. A test of patience, really. #startups #tech
