Over the past couple of weeks, our #rapertmktg class has gone through a journey of figuring out what our values were. We embarked on the Values Project journey, and it is safe to say it was a good one. It started with us figuring out some values and taking some personality tests. We then asked people to help narrow it to our core values and what they thought of us. We translated that information into our one-pager. Our next step was very crucial in the project, and we had a sit-down with an executive leader. Our leader provided needed insight, help, and I was able to learn from my peers as well. Collaboration with peers and leaders is always an amazing experience to learn. After that class, we set up our information to use and completed our values project!
There were plenty of takeaways from this project, but I had two that stood out! My first takeaway was being uncomfortable and really figuring myself out. Doing plenty of personality tests and asking the people around you helps create perspective. This led to opening my eyes to what I may have missed before. I can proudly say this project reflects me and my values. My second takeaway was how everything was built up. This project wasn't an assignment that was just given to us to complete. It had that journey, and it took time to complete. The structure of the class and is set up so effectively that it helps you throughout your project. There were amazing articles we read and great examples from past students. I have always loved the saying "Life is a journey and if you fall in love with the journey. You will be in love forever."
