This is a different but great example of how #GenAI can be of use in the sports industry: ahead of the historic Wimbledon Gran Slam, IBM and The All England Lawn Tennis Club are launching a new generative AI software using Watsonx, IBM's Data and AI platform. The goal of this initiative: Allow Tennis fans around the world to precisely follow the leading players' progress through Championship rounds, through an interactive and personalized platform experience. With the current dynamics of AI legislations, and the rising ethical & societal issues we're exposed to, it's interesting to the tennis community ( Fans, Coaches, players alike) seems very optimistic on new technologies' impact and its use in the different aspects of the sport. AI has had a significant impact on the sports industry overall, up to now mainly on other sports such as Football ( Soccer ), but all New Technology, Tennis and Sports enthusiasts should keep an eye what comes next in Tennis after the Hawk Eye computer vision system. #ArtificialIntelligence #Ethics #Wimbledon #Optimization

One of the most exciting aspects of the Olympics is discovering sports we've never, or rarely, watched before. Every few years, we're introduced to events that captivate our attention and spark new interests. But why do these sports only seem to surface during the Olympic Games? Is it the rarity of these events that draws us in? Or is it the prestige and grandeur of the Olympics itself that makes them so intriguing? Imagine if these team handball, canoe slalom, table tennis, and countless others were available more often – would we still be as enthralled? The Olympics provide a unique platform that elevates lesser-known sports to global recognition. It's a testament to the power of the Games to bring diverse athletic pursuits into the spotlight, if only temporarily. What do you think? Would regular exposure to these sports sustain your interest, or does the Olympic context add that extra layer of allure? #Olympics #SportsDiscovery #SportsMarketing #SportsMedia

Assistant Manager - GTM & Strategy @ V-Guard|| Goa Institute of Management PGDM 2021-2023 || Gold Medalist
As I watched the Paris Olympics on Sunday, I noticed a striking similarity in two different sports that sits well with business and corporate as well. Badminton Men's Semifinals: Lakshya Sen had 3 set points but couldn't close it out, as reigning champion Viktor Axelsen displayed remarkable composure and grit. Tennis Men's Final: The energetic Carlos Alcaraz faltered in high-pressure tiebreakers, losing 7-6, 7-6 to the veteran Novak Djokovic. Both matches highlighted how the seasoned players managed to excel in high-pressure moments, demonstrating the invaluable advantage of experience and the knack of having been in such situations over extended periods of time. While the calm and calculated approach of these veterans led them to triumph, it’s crucial to also recognize the relentless energy, hunger & innovation brought by the younger athletes. Alcaraz and Sen showed incredible talent and promise, proving that the exuberance of youth can challenge even the most experienced. In business, as in sports, both experience and youthful vigor are vital. Experience brings a strategic edge in critical situations, while youthful enthusiasm drives innovation and fresh perspectives. The synergy of both can lead to unparalleled success. #Olympics #Experience #Youth #PressureHandling #Leadership #Innovation
