Successful, experienced health care executive in large organizations with skills and passion for developing strategic win-win pragmatic solutions for clients and company

Yesterday I had the honor of testifying at the Senate Committee on Aging hearing on Health Care Transparency: Lowering Costs and Empowering Patients. I used this opportunity to talk about how the Building Service 32BJ Benefit Funds/32BJ Health Fund has leveraged our data to make benefit decisions that have saved the fund tens of millions of dollars. These savings allowed the 32BJ SEIU Union and Employers to give one time bonuses, grant the largest wage increase in contract history, increase pension, and limit the employer contribution increases to 3% or less every year through 2027. I also used the time to highlight the impact of anti-competitive contracting terms on procurement and the need for not only data transparency but contract transparency. As the closed caption says on my photo: “It is not simple. It is not easy.” But it can be done. Thank you to my fellow panelists Christopher Whaley, Chris Deacon, and Sophia Tripoli, MPH for continuing to fight for data transparency and more affordable healthcare for all. I’m thrilled we keep getting people such as yourself in front of congress, but I have seen very little to nothing on a change agenda. What do you think the chances are for transformative Change?

So glad you're sharing your story, Cora; so sorry how badly it reflects on the options/lack of options purchasers have.
