Congratulations to Loyola University Chicago School of Law on the installation of the new exhibit, “Philip H. Corboy: A life in service to the brave and injured,” which was formally unveiled on Monday, Aug. 12th on what would have been Mr. Corboy’s 100th birthday. The exhibit celebrates the life and legacy of Corboy & Demetrio Co-founder Philip H. Corboy, Class of '49.  Philip Corboy, Jr., a named Corboy & Demetrio Partner and Mr. Corboy’s son, spoke eloquently about the great impact his father had on him personally, as well his father’s incredible contributions as a lawyer to the community. The exhibit is on display in the lobby of the Philip H. Corboy Law Center, which houses Loyola’s law school.

We commemorate what would have been the 100th birthday of our firm’s Co-founder, Philip H. Corboy, today. Thomas A. Demetrio, Corboy & Demetrio Co-founder, and all our attorneys and staff remember fondly and with the highest regard our dear mentor, partner and friend, Philip H. Corboy. #fbf On February 11, 1998, in downtown Chicago, Mayor Richard M. Daley renamed a portion of Washington Street, “Philip H. Corboy Way” in honor of our Co-founder Philip H. Corboy and all that he achieved as a trial lawyer. A Corboy Way sign stands on the corner of Dearborn and Washington, just outside Corboy & Demetrio’s offices, reminding us all of his legacy.
