We are building a survey that we will put out to the public to compare answers and see how close we are with our answers. We will be releasing the survey on Friday January 5th on the webpage: https://lnkd.in/dyG2Fc8s This will be a survey we ask that you take your time and really consider your answers. You do not have to answer all the questions and we will not share any of your information with others without your permission. We will not call anyone out for any answer but we will not share any statements that are hurtful or hateful. This is a survey for the purpose of assistance of those battling with mental issues and suicide ideation. This is a research and knowledge searching tool to share with others in efforts to find answers. There is no one answer. If there was, we would not have this problem. Not every question will be published, but we will consider every entry. Please help us make a difference by asking well thought out, educated, un-biased questions and let's "Come Together" to find answers to this problem affecting everyone.

Sept 10th was international suicide prevention day. Suicide, and suicide prevention should be a critical priority for our society, and is a topic close to many of us personally. Prevention starts with education. Today I attended a Bipolar UK webinar to learn about bipolar and suicide prevention. I was shocked to learn that 50% of people with bipolar will attempt suicide at least once in their lifetime. Over the last decade or so, more and more people have become aware of "quiet drowning" and learned to watch for it. Most people, when they begin to drown, do not flail about and scream. Instead they get quiet and can go under without anyone noticing until it is too late. Mental illness is often the same. It isn't always large and involved acts that scream "I need help". It is often quiet and often (too often) unnoticed until it is too late. It is Suicide Prevention Month.
