I’m fired up on the entire Ajax Health Ecosystem for creating, optimizing and institutionalizing the Ajax Growth Driver Model to drive medical device innovation. The attached Harvard Business Review article does a nice job of providing additional detail behind the model’s construct. Our model is powerful, high impact – a multifaceted alignment of activities, people, capital, strategy, development, and operating partnership. And it works, well. What we have implemented for Cordis with Cordis-X, and for Hologic, Inc. with Maverix, is what we will implement for any large strategic that is need of turn-key, off-balance sheet, turbo-charged growth. #HBR #GrowthDriver #Innovation

Hey Duke Rohlen I really enjoyed the article and am a great fan of Prof Herzlinger’s research. I’ve been sharing this article around. Great to see how this model has been refined and evolved in the past couple of years and looking forward to seeing more projects like CordisX/Maverix. This is a beautiful model where all 4 key stakeholders benefit from the strategy.

This was a great read Duke, couldn’t agree more. There’s a space in the middle for more players especially the incumbents we have the capital to invest but lack the agility internally to execute on forward-thinking or innovative products. I do think it’s something we’re seeing more of now in Lifesciences with big pharma or MedTech coming in earlier than in the past, it’s a win-win.

    Continuing the enrollment in RESOLVE-AF in the Czech Republic, this week, we performed the first 5 cases at IKEM in Prague with the site principal investigator, Dr. Petr Peichl. The sub-investigators are Prof. Josef Kautzner, Dr. Dan Wichterle, and Dr. Predrag Stojadinovic.     Today, we performed our first case within the RESOLVE-AF study - a persistent AF mapping trial using the multipolar basket and Electrographic Flow (EGF) Mapping system. I am curious, whether this technology will allow us better target ablation beyond PVI. Thanks to #Cortex, Pavel Sima and Erik Harks for support.
