Ghana Health Service collaborated with health.enabled to document their experience in the use of District Health Information Software 2 (DHIS2) to improve immunization service planning, delivery, and monitoring This case study highlights achievements, challenges, and recommendations for other countries deploying digital #immunization interventions, offering valuable lessons for improving #digitalhealth systems globally. In the past three years, routine #immunization rates have declined in #Mozambique. USAID MOMENTUM Routine Immunization supported the Ministry of Health in developing and piloting a recovery plan for routine immunization services.  The plan included mapping zero-dose and underimmunized children, training health care workers, conducting district microplanning, generating vaccine demand, and deploying mobile brigades. The lessons learned from the pilot will inform other partners on how to best implement the recovery plan and reach every child with life saving #vaccines in Mozambique. 💉

This article highlights crucial insights for countries aiming to enhance immunization efforts in urban areas, where private facilities are most prevalent. This is especially pertinent considering that over a quarter of children who have not received any vaccinations (zero dose) globally reside in urban settings, and it's estimated that nearly 20% of vaccinations in LMICs and MICs are administered at private facilities. #vaccineswork #vaccinessavelives
