Thanks Mark Hyman, MD Robert Lustig for your invaluable contributions to Healthcare swimming against the 5P forces of our modern healthcare to educate consumers and treat the cause NOT symptom so one can “create their own Health”. As consumers of modern world in 21st century, we know what we want and know how to prioritize our wants and need with goods and services… but often we DONT know the same in buying, procuring, choosing Healthcare products and services not to mention that we have no clue of good food, nutrition, and what heals and harms us. To maintaining our good health Patients asks their doctor what is good for them genuinely but often treated with “Medicine Centric” (hit them with all known Rx to treat symptom not the cause), or “Doctor Centric” (throw all actions of their experience - been there …seen that …take this treatment)… The functional medicine and integrative medicine on the other hand is “Patient Centric” (often referenced by Danny Sands, MD, MPH as Participatory Medicine)…

Before 2014, psoriasis was largely ignored by policy-makers. The WHO website did not have any information about it. IFPA set out to change that by pushing for a resolution on psoriasis. In May 2014, the 67th World Health Assembly adopted Resolution WHA 67.9, the only international resolution focused on psoriasis. It recognizes psoriasis as a noncommunicable disease with significant impact and the need for better healthcare access. Join us as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of this milestone and share inspiring success stories of national action on psoriasis. If you're thinking about the importance of functional medicine, then look at the paradox of American healthcare. Because of its numerous advantages, the US is regarded as a land of progress and abundance. 👨⚕️ Unlike the US traditional healthcare model, functional medicine is focused on improving the health and well-being of its patients. It takes a completely different approach to treat illness and disease. 🩺 #FunctionalMedicine #HealthyLife

Global Heart Hub, in partnership with The Health Policy Partnership, developed a global roadmap to support #patient organisations and other advocates, including healthcare professionals and researchers, in driving shared decision-making best practices for people with #heartvalvedisease in their countries. This roadmap, "Paving the way: a roadmap to the successful implementation of shared decision-making in heart valve disease", will help improve patient access to #shareddecisionmaking by addressing the perceived barriers. The roadmap highlights the need for a gold standard for shared decision-making in #HVD as there is currently no standardised model available at the national or international level.
