Nice! I am assuming you mean aligning with the principles of ecological ethics and environmental stewardship, for example. If so, this would enable students to see the complexity of AI technology and have a more holistic perspective. For example, what are the detriments or costs to the environment to power this technology? How can the technology be used to benefit biological systems? What are the emergent properties or phenomena that result from the interactions of humans, AI technology and the environment?
Perhaps, I’m may be going off track here, but I wonder, too, if a socio-cultrual view needs to be added. But then … perhaps that is a part of the human-centrism in your framework. There’s a lot of cultural convergence happening. For example culture is embedded in the design, production and use of AI technology. The dynamic outcomes emerging from integrating the biosphere into our understanding of AI development and use are the result of an intricate interplay between culture and technology. This acknowledges that the consequences of AI are not limited to human society but also extend to the natural environment, and these consequences are shaped by cultural values and technological advancements.
