How is it that Collegiate Recovery Programs and Communities are thriving at HBCUs with Black & Brown students in recovery and Black and Brown allies but our PWI communities are still homogeneously white males with only few exceptions? While I know the answer to the question, I don’t yet have a solution.

Certain sports at elite colleges like the Ivy League tend to have rosters made up of students who attended private schools or who come from public schools in the wealthiest zip codes, leading to questions about merit and equity. #GreatCollegeAdvice #CollegeAthletics #CollegeAdmissions #EliteColleges

Like it or not, the wave is coming. High School NIL will be bigger than NCAA NIL. Are we prepare to manage the flood of challenges that come with NIL? What support has been put in place? I hear daily from HS coaches and administrators that they will not support NIL and that it does not affect them. 🏛️Do the classics have a place in modern education? I am a firm believer that they do. However not how you might think. 🏺Recent news from a great school in my hometown of London, Newham Collegiate Sixth Form Centre (The NCS), that they are offering classes in the classics to enhance the classroom. 🧐This is a great opportunity to see the foundations of our modern world. I would argue that on those foundations there is also far more to explore. 📚Renaissance humanism was built on classical thought and on humanism was built the Age of Enlightenment and eventually our own modernity. 🎭Engaging with thinkers, writers, arts, across the ages creates a foundation for modern learning in the Information Age. 🏆Engagement with it all is vital to see the world clearly and I know that this foundation being built by Newham will pay off massively for the students undertaking their journey into classical thought. #educationalleadership #classics #teaching

With John Calipari leaving Kentucky, college basketball has officially left the one and done era and has firmly settled into the NIL era. Just like 15 years ago, the Kentucky job is primed for a head coach looking to maximize some of the best resources in the country: 🏀 SECure future: Conference realignment has shuffled the college sports landscape, but Kentucky’s future is solid as a member of one of the two conferences destined to lead the next era of college sports. 🏀 Football Revenue: Being a basketball school in a football conference pays. For the 2022/23 season, the SEC distributed more than $51M per school to its 14 members. 🏀 Deep Pockets: Kentucky spends on its basketball program. According to Sportico, UK is one of only three schools to spend $20M+ on its basketball program (2021/22 season). Who do you think takes the job??
