While secondaries and private credit lending are two of the most active investment strategies in this era of private markets, private credit secondaries remains a fraction of the overall capital raised and deployed. Leading global alternative asset manager Tikehau Capital are one of the pioneers in this strategy and it is worth tracking this market as LP interest correspondingly increases with dealflow and the growth in the overall private credit market over the past decade, plus LP prioritization in distributions from maturing funds ie DPI. There are 2 main things I love about Investing in Infrastructure funds: 1. I consider it to be a pure form of Impact Investing. Africas infrastructure deficit is significant. Government is, well, Governing. So when private sector is empowered to make investments that ultimately reduce the deficit, that’s impact enough for me. That’s something God can Bless. That’s a way to get Africa a seat on the table. 2. I consider it to be of good returns and a great addition to a robust portfolio. Its Returns usually tend towards to the higher yeild instruments cadre, and I believe adding this to your long term bonds portfolios, helps keeps that solid base solid. Tbh, I absolutely love Infrastructure funds, and I’m personally happy for those who invest in them. ❤️
