This novel method allows us to differentiate earth-based interference from potential signals that may indicate presence of technologically-advanced Extraterrestrial Intelligence. In the next ten years, scientific investment in space by the public and private sectors will be critical to achieve the United States' ambitious space priorities framework. The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine recently released the second volume of the biological and physical sciences decadal survey for 2023-2032, creating a framework of research priorities and goals to be actualized to further enable space exploration and transformative science in space. Traditionally used to guide public investment, we are now at a time where this survey should mean equally as much to the private sector. Together with Atlantic Council GeoTech Center Nonresident Senior Fellow Tiffany Vora, we argue that the new survey provides an opportunity for parallel mobilization in national research programs and the commercial space industry through the next decade. https://lnkd.in/gQrP522b
